2. ANNOUNCEMENT
The Auto 66 Club will organise the above Restricted Motorcycle
Road Race meetings. The meetings will be held in accordance
with the National Sporting Code and the current Standing Regulations
of the Auto-Cycle Union for Road Racing, these Supplementary
Regulations, Championship Conditions and any other Final Instructions
issued or Official Announcements made.

4. ELIGIBILITY & INSURANCE
To be eligible to compete in any of the meetings you must
be a current member of the Auto 66 Club. Riders competing
in invited championships must be members of the appropriate
invited club. All drivers and passengers must be in possession
of a current Competition Licence for Road Racing issued by
the ACU, or the Scottish ACU. All grades of licences are eligible.
Entrants must hold a current entrants licence. Riders under
the age of 18 years shall produce a signed Parental Agreement
Form (see reverse of entry form) giving permission for them
to compete in the event, and be accompanied at the events
by their parent or Legal Guardian. A copy of the Auto 66 Club’s
Child Protection Policy which covers the medical treatment
of riders under the age of 18 who sustain injuries, and also
the arrangements for dealing with lost children is available
on request.
The organisers undertake to insure ACU and SACU
licence holders, indemnifying him/her against any third party
claim arising out of the races or official practice, excluding
claims by other riders, entrants, sponsors or mechanics. Such
insurance does not include personal injury benefit.
Competitors holding MCUI licences, or any other
European licence, are not insured under the ACU policy or
by the Club. Competitors must provide proof of their own insurance,
which must include cover in respect of repatriation. Riders
from Ireland and EU countries must produce proof of start
permission from their own FMN.
5. ENTRIES
All entries must be made on the official entry form and sent
to the Secretary of the Meeting, before the closing date published
at the top of these Regulations and accompanied by the appropriate
fees, which are as follows:
Entry Fees:
(Solos) First Event £115.00 1-day meetings Each additional
class £40.00. £200.00 2-day meetings Each additional
class £80.00.
(Sidecars) First Event £125.00 1-day meetings Each additional
class £40.00. £220.00 2-day meetings Each additional
class £80.00.
Entries after closing date, if accepted, £10.00 extra.
Payment may be made by Cheque or Postal Orders
payable to AUTO 66 CLUB. Credit/Debit Card Payments will carry
a surcharge of £4 per transaction and will only be accepted
up to Closing Date. Unpaid cheques will be recharged plus
£20.00. Post-dated cheques are not acceptable and will
be returned along with the entry form.
The Club reserves the right to refuse any entry
and to amend the race day programme or abandon, cancel or
postpone the meeting. Entries by Fax are not permitted unless
by prior arrangement with the Secretary. No entries will be
accepted on the day of the meeting.
If the meeting is cancelled completely due to
adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances
beyond the Clubs control 50% of the Entry Fees will be refunded
in entry vouchers.
If a rider has a genuine reason for not attending a meeting
a partial refund of entry fees will be considered, in the
form of a credit note, only if the Secretary of the Meeting
has been informed in writing and all passes, etc returned
at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. (NO REFUNDS WILL BE
MADE FOR EVENTS OR RACES MISSED ON THE DAY)
6. CHANGE OF MACHINE/DRIVER/PASSENGER
Either Driver/Passenger or Machines but not both may be changed,
if such a request is made in writing to the Secretary of the
Meeting no later than 30 minutes priors to commencement of
practice. Only a holder of a current Entrants Licence being
an Entrant may nominate a change of driver.
7. CIRCUITS
ELVINGTON PARK is situated 4 miles east of York off the Hull
Road. The Club Circuit is 1 mile in length - the National
circuit is 1.3 miles. Drivers will practice and race in a
clockwise direction.
CADWELL PARK is situated 10 miles north-east
of Horncastle on A153. The Club circuit is 1.48 miles in length,
the Woodlands Circuit 1 mile and the National circuit 2.17
miles in length. Drivers will practice and race in a clockwise
direction.
TEESSIDE AUTODROME is situated at South Bank,
Middlesbrough off the A66 2 miles from town centre. The circuit
is 1 mile in length. Drivers will practice and race in a clockwise
direction.

8. LIMITATIONS
Elvington Park: Maximum starters at all circuits will be:
Solos 40, Sidecars 30. Cadwell Park: National Circuit Solos
38, Sidecars 26. Teesside Autodrome: Solos 24, Sidecars 12.
These start numbers may be increased by 50% for official practice.
9. CLASSES
Entries will be accepted for machines in category A1 and categories
B1 and B2 sidecars.
Classes 1 – 12 will consist of 3 races
plus 2 extra races in the case of a 2-day meeting. The first
race being a qualifier for grid positions for the second (trophy)
race and this race will determine grid positions for the third
(championship points) race. At 2-day meetings the 4th race
will be a trophy race and the 5th race a championship race.
All classes are open to Club Members holding Novice –
Clubmans – National – International Road Race
Licences
CLUBMANS CHALLENGE STAR CHAMPIONSHIPS – all meetings.
1. Rookie Clubmans (250cc 2-stroke. up to 400cc 4-stroke -
600cc 4-stroke & machines up to 750cc 4-stroke with a
maximum of two cylinders)
This event is for competitors holding novice licences at 1st
March 2008. Riders finishing in the top three places in the
2007 Rookie Championships are not eligible to compete in the
2008 Rookie Series but are eligible for all other classes.
2 Clubmans Formula 125 (up to 125cc production based machines
including Metrakit, Jawa or Conti type machines)
3 Clubmans Formula 400 (250cc 2-stroke to 400cc 4-stroke)
4 Clubmans Formula 600 (600cc 4-stroke, machines up to 700cc
3 cylinder 4-stroke & 750cc twin cylinder 4-stroke)
5 Clubmans Formula Libre (600 Steel Frame – CB500 –
Hornet – Classic & any machine in keeping with the
class)
(Only moulded treaded tyres are allowed in all the above classes)
6. Clubmans 125GP
7. Clubmans Formula Lites (125GP – 250GP – Minitwins
- Forgotten Era up to 350cc & Formula 400)
8. Clubmans Formula Pro Street (475cc to 750cc 2- stroke 650cc
to 1300cc 4-stroke)
9. Clubmans Sound of Thunder (Singles – Twins –
Triples – Forgotten Era over 175cc)
10 Clubmans Senior Cup (250 and over)
11. Clubmans Sidecar F2 (up to 600cc)
12 Clubmans Sidecar Open (400cc to 1300cc)
(Slick tyres are permitted in events 6 – 12)

14. Sidecars 350cc – FSRA Series 23/24 March –
6th April – 9th August – 18/19 October
15. Sidecars Classic – FSRA Series 23/24 March –
6th April – 9th August – 18/19 October
Events 14 & 15 will be run under the Regulations and machine
specifications as laid down by the Series organisers.
10. AWARDS
Rookie and Clubmans Classes: Trophies will be awarded in the
second race in each class at all meetings, at a 2-day meetings
trophies will also be presented in the 1st race of each class
on the 2nd day. In all classes trophies will be presented
according to the number of entries received, 3 entries –
1st place trophy, 6 – 2nd place trophy, 9 – 3rd
place trophy, 12 & over – 4th place trophy. Trophies
must be collected before the end of the lunch break and those
not collected on the day will be forfeited. Where rounds of
non-Auto 66 Championships are run, awards will be presented
as per that Championships conditions.
11. CHAMPIONSHIPS
In all the below championships, Points will be awarded 20
– 18 – 16 – 14 – 12 – 10 –
9 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 –
3 – 2 – 1. In the event of a tie, the greatest
number of 1st places, 2nd places, etc will determine final
championship positions. If this does not resolve the tie the
competitor with the first win (highest place) will be declared
the winner.
CLUBMANS CHALLENGE STAR CHAMPIONSHIPS –
will be run over 12 rounds – best 10 rounds to count.

The highest point scorers at the end of the series in each
of the Clubmans Challenge Star Championships will receive:
1st Trophy and £100, 2nd Trophy and £75, 3rd Trophy
and £25.
Trophies and cash awards will be presented to
the first three in each class at the end of the series (see
separate Championship conditions for more detail)
2008 Championship awards will be presented at Scarborough
on Saturday, 31st January 2009
12. TECHNICAL VERIFICATION
Unless otherwise stated, this will take place between 8.00am
and 10.00am on the morning of the event. The Technical Verification
Card sent with the Final Instructions must be produced at
verification control and again when signing on. Riders are
required to present their machines to the Technical Officer
before signing on. Club membership cards must also be produced
when signing on. It is the riders’ responsibility to
ensure his/her machine(s) complies with the regulations and
is safe for competition. A Technical Officer may refuse to
verify a machine on the grounds of eligibility. All riders
and passengers must wear their protective clothing, helmet,
boots, gloves, identification disc (which must bear competitor’s
FULL name and date of birth) and novice jacket (if applicable)
when being checked by the Technical Officer. Any machine involved
in an accident must be re-inspected, along with the protective
clothing of all riders and passengers involved. FRAME AND
ENGINE NUMBERS WILL BE CHECKED, MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE CORRECT
NUMBER ON YOUR ENTRY FORM
13. TRANSPONDER TIMING
Transponders are obligatory and a personal AMB Trans X260
transponder must be fitted to all machines. Transponder numbers
are to be quoted on each entry form and entries received without
a transponder number will be returned. Machines not fitted
with a transponder will not be allowed to race.
14. NOISE
The maximum permitted noise level for all machines shall be
105dBA, NO TOLERANCE WILL BE ALLOWED. All competitors’
machines, which exceed this limit, will be DISQUALIFIED from
the meeting and NO REFUNDS will be given.
15. PRACTICE
Practice at Elvington Park and Teesside Autodrome will take
place from 10.00am, at Cadwell Park from 9.00am and at 2-day
meetings practice will be on Saturday. Practice will be in
capacity order unless otherwise stated in the final instructions.
Each practice session will be run for a minimum of 10 minutes,
which may be split into two parts of five minutes, all drivers
must complete 3 laps to qualify.
NO ENGINES MAY BE RUN UNTIL 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO PRACTICE COMMENCING,
OR THROUGHOUT THE LUNCH BREAK AND AFTER THE LAST RACE.
16. GRID POSITIONS
Grid positions for the first race will be based on Championship
positions and known ability. This race will determine the
grid positions for the second (trophy) race and this race
will determine grid positions for the third (championship
points) race. At 2-day meetings the 4th race will also be
a trophy race and the 5th race a championship race with grid
positions as race 2 and 3. Grid positions for classes 14 to
17 will be as per the championship/series conditions. Positions
will be displayed on the notice board in the paddock. Late
entries if accepted will be placed at the back of the grid.
The onus is on the competitor to be at the assembly area in
good time for their race.
17. STARTS
All events will be clutch start unless otherwise stated in
the Race programme.
Races will start as the RED LIGHT GOES OUT or
the dropping of the National Flag.
On arriving at the starting grid riders must
take up their allocated grid positions before being instructed
to proceed on their sighting lap, on returning to the start
line riders must take up their grid position and be prepared
to start. Only officials are allowed on the grid. Riders will
come under starters orders when the red light comes on or
the starter raises the National Flag. Any competitor adjudged
to have unnecessarily delayed a start may be disqualified.
Riders guilty of jump starts will be penalised by 10seconds
and persistent offenders may be disqualified from the results.
18. FINISH
To be classified a rider must cross the line within two minutes
of the winner’s time, and have completed at least 75%
of the number of laps completed by the race winner.
19. TYRES
At all meetings the ACU tyre regulations will apply. Slick
tyres will be allowed in events 6 to 12.
20. MEDICAL
The organisers reserve the right for the Chief Medical Officer
to carry out a medical examination on any competitor, at any
time during the event, in order to ascertain his/her fitness
to compete. The Chief Medical Officer’s decision is
final..
21. FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
A 2kg minimum dry powder fire extinguisher must be carried
at all times on any transport vehicle whilst in the paddock,
(this includes caravans). Random checks will be made by Officials
who may impose a £50 fine on any competitor who does
not comply.
The fitting of fire alarms is strongly recommended in residential
caravans.
22. DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
Abuse of drugs and alcohol can lead to impaired judgement
which may cause harm to the individual concerned and to others.
A copy of the Club Drugs and Alcohol Policy which includes
RANDOM TESTING is available on request. A positive test penalty
is a 2 year suspension for a first offence.
23. PADDOCK FACILITIES & ETIQUETTE
Refreshments and toilet facilities are available throughout
the weekend. Fuel is available at Cadwell only.
Competitors are not allowed into the paddock
area before 6.30pm the night prior to the event.
EMERGENCY VEHICLE ACCESS Competitors are reminded
when parking their vehicles that an access route for emergency
vehicles within the paddock must be maintained at all times.
Officials may insist on the immediate removal of any vehicle
or item which is causing an obstruction.
TARMAC DAMAGE
It is forbidden to hammer any pegs or stakes into any tarmac
surface. Any person damaging the surface may be disqualified
from the event and the competitor subject to the immediate
payment of liquidated damages not exceeding £500.
FUEL STORAGE & HANDLING It is the competitors responsibility
to ensure that portable fuel containers (maximum two 5 gallon
receptacles) are of the correct specification and correctly
labelled. Decanting of fuel must be carried out using a funnel
and drip tray, in the open and away from sources of ignition.
OIL OR PETROL SPILLAGES Absorbent mats and drip
trays must be in place at all times to prevent any spillage
onto any tarmac surface or any other surface. All spillages
must be reported to Race Control immediately. Failure to comply
with this requirement may result in a £100 fine being
imposed by the meeting officials.
WASTE DISPOSAL Competitors are required to bring
containers or refuse bags to take away their own litter, or
any other in the vicinity of their allocated parking space
on departure. This includes the removal and safe and legal
disposal of all waste oil, tyres and fuel containers. Charges
levied for the disposal of any items not removed from the
venue shall be charged to the competitor.
GENERATORS Only fully silenced generators may
be run in the paddock, and then only between the hours of
9am and 11pm. Any competitor using a generator that is unduly
noisy will be asked to turn it off immediately.
SPEED LIMITS The paddock is a crowded place
and race machines must only be ridden at walking pace to the
assembly area and on the return route to the paddock. No competition
machines may be ridden outside the paddock area or on any
approach roads to the paddock. Only the Competitor is permitted
to ride their machine in the paddock. Other persons are not
insured against third party claims.
BURN OUTS The spinning of rear wheels in the
paddock, holding bay or starting grid is strictly forbidden,
and any competitor in breach of this regulation will be liable
to disqualification.
ANIMALS Animals must be kept on a leash at all
times except at Cadwell Park where all animals are forbidden.
24. RIDING OF MINI MOTORCYCLES, SCOOTERS,
BICYCLES, etc.
The riding of any type of motorcycle, quad bike, scooter,
pedal scooter, skateboard, pedal cycle or powered cycle in
the paddock and surrounding area is strictly forbidden.
25. ADMISSION TO THE MEETING
All drivers and passengers will be issued with 3 Personnel
Passes and a Vehicle Pass. ACU licensed Entrants will be issued
with 2 Personnel Passes but vehicles must be parked in the
public car parks.
26. SECURITY
The entered competitor will be held responsible for any contravention
of these regulations by any member of his team, friends or
relatives. The Organisers cannot accept any responsibility
for personal belongings, vehicles, machines, tools, etc belonging
to competitors, club members or the general public.
