Welcome to the Auto 66 Marshals Association. The association
was formed in the late 70's to provide marshals and officials
for events run by the Auto 66 Club and associate clubs throughout
the North of England.
The founder member was Doug Winn who did all the spade work
in putting together the rules and constitution of the association.
Although retired Doug quite often helps out at the Elvington
meetings as Steward on the day.
Administration of the association is based at the Circuit
Office, Oliver's mount, Scarborough, where Sue Micklethwaite
deals with membership applications. Brian Knox is responsible
for keeping attendance records and keeping everyone informed
of any changes in rules throughout the year.
Peter Smith and Alan Woods have jointly taken on the task
of arranging Training seminars which the association arrange
annually. Training is given up to the standard required by
the ACU and the MSA, this gives everyone a good grounding
allowing them to progress through the ranks to become a licenced
Clerk of the Course.
The Association is recognised by the Auto Cycle Union and
the Motor Sports Association who regularly invite our officials
to seminars and training days throughout the year.
There is no membership fee to become involved in the association,
the only stipulation is that a member must participate in
a minimum of three events during the year.
The association operates a grading scheme which is presently
being up dated.
If you wish to become a member please down load a membership
form from this web page and return it as soon as possible.
You will also see that you may download the attendance calendar
which can be returned indicating which events you would like
to attend and be involved with.
