Date
Change
The Cadwell Park
Sprint scheduled for 24th July is cancelled and will now be
run on Saturday 20th March. This is due to planning regulations
that have only just come to light. Cadwell can be used til
8pm but only 6pm for competitive use which was no good as
the original event was to scheduled to run from mid afternoon
til 8pm, by changing the date we have now got a full days
programme.

Oliver's
Mount Improvements
With the Spring
like weather continuing the Club are well ahead of schedule
for the improvement work at Oliver's Mount. There is a new
security fence has been erected at the rear of B Paddock. The
whole of Paddock A, the Hill Climb start and the track leading
to Farm Bends has been completely resurfaced as has the Holding
Bay and ramp up to the start line for the Road Race events.Work
is due to be finished this weekend to the electrical supply
points, 13 in total, around Paddocks A & B, these will
be powered up by a huge generator that will be hired in for
each Road Race meeting until the electricity board can provide
a suitable line which is possibly 6 years away.Work to start
next week is extra kerbing on the left hand side on the entrance
to the Esses and on the chicane at the finish of the Hill
Climb section. New water supplys are to go in after christmas
to the public toilet blocks around the circuit. Before the
April meeting certain sections of the circuit will be resurfaced
subject to the good weather continuing through the winter.
AUTO
66 BACK AT MALLORY PARK
Its over ten years since the Auto
66 were at Mallory Park, Leicestershire but you will see from
the fixture list
that the Club will be back for 2 Road Race meetings and one
Sprint.
Sprint
and Hill Climb Championships
Negotiations on
dates and events are now complete for the Car and Bike Championships
as you will see listed below, the committee are now working
on the supplementary regulations which should be available
towards christmas, the booklets will be sent out to all members
that have requested them on their membership form for 2010.
The regs and entry forms will also be published on the webpage.
The classes and regulations for the Bike championship will
remain the same as 2009. The regulations for the car classes
have been virtually re written and approved by all the organisers
in the Midlands and North which hopefully in 2010 all events
will run under the same regulations. Hopefully in the next
couple of weeks the specifications will be printed on this
page.
